Carrot jam

Carrot jam

Food plays an important role in our lives, but we need to start looking at food from the perspective of "eating to live, not living to eat."

Various vegetables are also healthy food. One of the important vegetables is the carrot because it contains many beneficial and healing components. It has an antimicrobial effect (antibiotic).

This vegetable is used fresh but also processed as carrot jam.

For preparing the jam, the following are needed:

  • 1 kg carrot
  • 0.7 kg (700 g) sugar
  • 1 lemon soda·
  • 1 vanilla sugar

Take the carrots, clean them well, and grate them. Place 2 glasses of water in a pot and set the carrots in until the water evaporates (check if the carrots have softened enough).

When it evaporates, add the sugar and lemon balm, remove the foam, and after 15 minutes the jam is placed in jars. Then the jars are pasteurized for 30 minutes (from the moment they boil).
