On September 18, 2025, the Initiative for Agricultural Development in Kosovo (IADK]) organized a workshop on training methodology with key stakeholders, as part of the activity "Providers of short-term course training." This activity focuses on developing short-term courses accredited for professional training, tailored to the needs of the labor market in the agri-food sector.
The meeting brought together 23 representatives from various institutions, including government bodies, academia, private sector associations, civil society organizations, and international cooperation partners. The discussions emphasized the implementation of training programs in milk processing and fruit and vegetable preservation, as well as how short-term, modular, and competency-based trainings—linked to the dual system—can address skills mismatches, while simultaneously promoting the inclusion of women and youth from rural areas. During the workshop, the training methodology, intervention strategy, and key project benefits were presented and discussed; all parties ensured commitment and cooperation to achieve common objectives. Participants contributed suggestions for further improvement of the training methodology, aiming for it to better adapt to the real needs of the market. The conclusions and recommendations from this workshop will be shared with the relevant stakeholders and implemented by IADK within the framework of the project.
