An important milestone for the development of the pastry sector in the municipality of Shtime is the inauguration of the new unit for preparing desserts, "ER Cakes," led by the beneficiary Sabahate Zymeri. This support was achieved after the successful completion of professional training in the pastry sector, conducted by the organization IADK, enabling Sabahate Zymeri to become a certified professional in this field.
Present at the ceremony were the Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, the Director of Agriculture in the Municipality of Shtime, Mr. Gojart Bajrami, and the Agriculture Officer Mr. Ejup Ismajli. They expressed their readiness to continue projects with a special focus on women and girls, where they will be enabled to develop professionally in various sectors of food processing and in professional training.
Ms. Sabahate Zymeri expressed deep gratitude to the organization IADK and the municipality of Shtime for their continuous support, emphasizing that this project will be an important step in strengthening her professional capacities and creating new opportunities for the growth of her business.
This activity was carried out within the framework of the project "Empowering women, men, and youth living in rural areas facing economic challenges, to create sustainable livelihoods through agricultural activities and food processing," funded by the Swiss donor FRIEDA.
