In Kosovo, the production of medicinal plants and aromatic has continuously increased in recent years. Offering a high income level per hectare, these plants are very relevant for cultivation by small farmers.

The new technical guide provides useful information to overcome these challenges through
the use of seedlings for the creation of perennial plants.
Seedling production requires a lot of knowledge and practical experience, starting with choosing the cultivation method for mixing the use of appropriate substrates, the use of suitable planting techniques, ensuring optimal conditions for growth and implementing preventive measures for plant protection.
The new technical guide prepared by FiBL experts provide information on choosing the appropriate system for seedling production for those who wish to start seedling production organic, as well as offering valuable recommendations for farmers who are already cultivated seedlings.
Development of the new technical guide has been financially supported by ADA (Austrian Development Agency), coordinated by CACH (Swiss Caritas) and implemented by FiBL, Bioherb and IADK in the continuation of the SIRED project.
