The rule for planting seedlings applies: the earlier they are planted, the better. Therefore, autumn planting of trees is better than spring planting. Before planting, it is advisable to work the soil to a depth of 70 cm. For planting, holes should be dug large enough so that the seedling's root system can be freely placed in the hole. If the soil is not cleared, then the hole should be dug as shown in the previous drawing, dividing the soil from the top layer on one side and the rest on the other side. It is best to prepare the soil at least one month, one day before planting.
Seedling preparation for planting: this is done so that one-third of the roots are cut with sharp scissors to initiate root growth. The cut should cause as small wounds as possible. The prepared seedlings are placed in a container filled with 50% manure, 50% clay (and fine), and a quantity of water. All of these are mixed until a soft mass forms. The root system of the seedling is submerged in this amount, and then the seedlings are spread out into planting holes.![]()

Seedling planting: The seedling is usually planted by two workers. One holds the seedling, while the other covers the root system placed in the hole so that the root system is evenly distributed in all directions. Ash can also be placed at the bottom of the hole to strengthen the seedling. At the bottom of the hole, 150 g of N:P:K mineral fertilizer is applied, which serves as feed, then a small amount of soil in a cone shape, and finally the root system of the seedling is established. On top of the roots, another layer of soil is placed, which is compacted well with the feet. On top of this layer, 10-15 kg of organic fertilizer is placed, but without direct contact with the roots. On top of the fertilizer, a layer of soil is placed again, compacted tightly so that no air is left between the roots and the soil.![]()

Seedlings should be planted at the depth at which they were in the nursery, or the grafting site should remain above the surface for 5-10 cm; and in advanced horticulture, up to 14 cm. Tree seedlings are secured for saplings by tying them with a spike in the shape of the number eight, and the cultivar label is placed on them. The remaining layer of soil is placed around the seedling to shape it.

If the seedling is planted in autumn, it is shaped like a humka to remove excess water, or in the form of a chickpea to collect water during the summer. Finally, to ensure the best possible contact between the root system and the soil, each seedling should be watered with 10 L of water;
