With the purpose of the professional capacity building of farmers, IADK has started training in the livestock sector with a group of 15 farmers from the municipality of Skenderaj, and Malishevë. The training program is modular, designed with a theoretical part (30%) and the practical part (70%), and is validated by the National Authority of Qualifications (AKK). The trainings are being highly valued by the participant and will contribute to more efficient management of livestock women. After farmers will be certified for the qualification "Livestock Technician" - Level III, and will be supported by a grant scheme to improve capacity for the collection and storage of milk, thus contributing to the improvement of quality and increasing the value of livestock products.
Also during This week, contracts were also signed with 17 greenhouse beneficiaries from two the aforementioned municipalities, and that the installation of greenhouses has begun with the aim that the planting of seedlings should be done within the optimal planting time and achieve the highest possible yield of vegetables. The grant support package in the sector of vegetables includes a greenhouse with an area of 200m², accompanied by other accompanying inputs and vegetable seedlings, as well as support in terms of with training, direct advice, and study visits for the exchange of experiences.
Supports of the above are being implemented within the framework of the project "Improvement of employment and opportunities for income generation in rural areas" funded by the donor Bread for the Word from Germany and co-financed by partner municipalities.
