STUDY VISIT FOR EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE WITH BENEFICIARIES FROM THE FRUIT SECTOR

Within the framework of the project "Empowering the Value Chain through Skills Development" funded by GIZ, IADK organized 4 study visits for the project beneficiaries in the fruit sector, specifically in the walnut and raspberry sector, with the aim of further advancing knowledge of techniques for cultivating fine trees.
In the walnut sector, a visit was organized to the municipality of Kamenica, where farmer Mirushe Geca was visited, while in the municipality of Suhareka, farmer Gentiana Gashi was visited.
A total of 20 farmers participated in these visits.
Seventeen beneficiaries participated in the raspberry sector. In the municipality of Podujeva, farmer Feim Ibishi was visited, while in the municipality of Prishtina, farmer Milot Bislimi was visited.
During these visits, the farmers' experiences were exchanged among themselves, and the beneficiaries had the opportunity to learn about the experience and knowledge of these hospitable and successful farmers, who explained in detail all the tasks required during the cultivation of walnuts and raspberries, the challenges that may arise in managing diseases and pests, and the importance of correctly identifying the hybrids to be used for cultivation depending on market demands and their resistance to diseases and transport.
