[NT7]] on August 12 and 13, 2020, organized a study visit with a group of 20 farmers benefiting from grants in the aromatic medicinal plants sector. Accompanied by the well-known expert from Albania, Mr. Florenc Kutrolli, the group of farmers observed various experiences of farmers in the Shkodër, Lushnje, and Tirana areas in cultivating different types of aromatic medicinal plants.
Besides cultivation, during the visits, participants also observed post-harvest treatment techniques for medicinal aromatic plants, including drying, processing, packaging, and preparation of products for export. Also, in some MAP collection and export companies, equipment and technologies for extracting essential oils from medicinal aromatic plants were observed.
This visit was encouraging for the group of farmers, who appreciated it as a very suitable opportunity to exchange experiences in the MAP sector, and why not, also to establish contacts for future cooperation.
