IADK within the framework of the project "Support in youth employment and women in rural areas through agricultural development", a two-year project (2020-2022) funded by the European Union in Kosovo organized today a Ceremony for the Distribution of Agricultural Equipment in the Municipality of Shtime for the 17th beneficiaries present: project partners, stakeholders, and second-year beneficiaries from the municipality of Shtime.

The Program Manager from the European Union Office in Kosovo - Ms. Majlinda Statovci, congratulated everyone the beneficiaries, thanked the organization IADK and its partners in this project, as well as emphasized the importance of the donated agricultural equipment for improved productivity and efficiency on beneficiary farms.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Shtime Municipality – Qemajl Aliu, thanked the Office of The European Union in Kosovo for its continuous support in every sphere, and especially in the financial support provided through projects that support agriculture and farmers in various sectors. He also thanked IADK for the cooperation demonstrated during the implementation period of this projects.
The beneficiary of the agricultural machinery equipment, Ms. Besa Gashi (beneficiary) valued at 5,000 Euros) thanked for the support provided to participate in the training for self-employment at the Vocational Training Center in Ferziaj as well as the acceptance of agricultural equipment / machinery. It expects that with this equipment, it will increase family income, improve living standards, and contribute to to have more fresh local products available in the market.
Seventeen second-year beneficiaries from Shtime come from villages and areas of various rural areas throughout the municipality. Regarding employment, all 17 beneficiaries were job seekers registered at the Employment Office in Shtime. Regarding sectors, the following sectors have been supported: vegetable growing, livestock, beekeeping, and food processing.
The advantage of using agricultural equipment is that it is capable of They do their utmost in minimal time, reducing the cost of agricultural operations. Furthermore, these devices will contribute to an increase in the areas worked. of the land, increase their income, and improve living standards and will contribute to having more fresh local products in market.
