This event was organized at the dairy cow farm in the village Klinë e Mesme, in the municipality of Skenderaj, where IADK has made some support symbolically by installing a simple barn ventilation system through fans. 🐄
The participants on this field day had the opportunity to closely observe the function of fans practically installed in the stall, which allow temperature control with thermostat and activate automatically when the internal temperature exceeds the level of ensuring equal air circulation throughout the entire area of stable. This system helps reduce heat stress in cows, increasing of food consumption and milk production, as well as in the improvement of hygiene by reducing excess moisture and drying faster of the beds. 🌡️🌀🥛
Small investments with different models to address changes climate and digitalization in livestock farms have been carried out by IADK, with the aim to serve as examples for other farmers to take similar actions in adapting to new climatic conditions to improve the well-being of as well as the sustainability of the farms. 🌍🌱💡
