Today, the Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, and the Mayor of Vushtrri Municipality, Mr. Xhafer Tahiri, inaugurated the construction works for the professional training center of candidates in the agricultural product processing sector. The construction of the processing unit with an area of 208m² is made possible thanks to the support of the project "Improving employment and income generation opportunities in the rural areas of Kosovo," funded by the German donor BfdW and co-financed by the Municipality of Vushtrri.
Mr. Bunjaku and Mr. Tahiri, in their speeches, highlighted the importance of this facility, not only for the citizens of the Municipality of Vushtrri but will also be an added value for all of Kosovo. This processing unit will be the first facility in Kosovo with high standards, offering opportunities for young people, especially women, to be trained and qualified in the agricultural product processing sector (fruits, vegetables, milk, etc.). IADK as a training and support center in the agricultural sector, thanks to this support in the construction of this facility, will offer certified training for candidates who have an interest and need for professional development. The facility, along with all accompanying infrastructure including inventory and other accompanying equipment, is expected to be completed during this year.
IADK is in the process of accreditation and validation of modular programs by the National Qualifications Authority (AKK) in the milk processing and fruit and vegetable processing sector, which will be used and prepared for young people and women for the labor market.
