Today, on November 16, 2021, the meeting of second monitor of the project "Transhumance – a new tourism offer of Kosovo" and Montenegro" by Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS) from the European Union (donor), Integration Office and the Ministry of Administration of Local Government and Kosovo.
During this monitoring meeting, progress was discussed of the project in both countries, where for the municipalities of Kosovo where the project is extended reported by IADK, while for the municipalities of Montenegro, RDA reported by BKP via Zoom. During the discussion, the results and investments made in the 100 mountain huts of the cross-border area (50 solar systems in Kosovo and 50 in Montenegro). Within of the project, a signaling plan for a thematic path has been developed which plans to connect all supported shelters with systems solar energy. Due to adverse climatic conditions, signaling and marking of the planned path will be finalized during 2022. Furthermore, in Kosovo in the mountains of Istog and Peja, as part of the project, 4 camps have been built, 8 rest points and 10 shepherds' huts with the aim of building the accommodation capacities of the huts.
In addition, the challenges faced by the staff of the project and the measures taken to overcome them. Sustainability of the project and synergy with past projects and similar projects of implemented by other organizations and municipalities was also part of the discussion.
Finally, the planned steps to implement Project activities for the year 2022.
