IADK during July 2020 held a series of agricultural trainings with youth groups from 4 municipalities: Vushtrri, Skenderaj, Shtime, and Kamenica. In each of these municipalities, a group of 15 young people was selected with whom 5 trainings were held, covering various topics related to production techniques, farm management, and the preparation of business plans.
This activity aims to support young people in rural areas of Kosovo to create income-generating opportunities from agricultural activities. For this reason, young people have been invited to compete for support grants in the agricultural sector; out of 60 young people who attended agricultural training, 50 of them will receive investment grants worth €3,000 each, which will have a significant impact on encouraging young people to be engaged in the agricultural sector.
This activity is carried out within the framework of the 2020-22 three-year project, "Improving employment and income generation opportunities in the rural areas of Kosovo," supported by the German donor "BfdW."
