A contract was signed between the Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, and Osa Termosystem, represented by Arian Osa, for dryers for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants with a drying area of 40m2, which will be modern and will contribute to environmental preservation, energy savings of up to 70%, and will meet the drying needs of MAP growers and collectors.
Within the framework of the MAP project, the contract was initially signed for 10 dryers, and by the end of the project implementation, 25 collection points with identical dryers will be supported, benefiting MAP growers and collectors from all over Kosovo.
The dryers with a drying surface area of 40m2 will be equipped with a reservoir for storing hot water, an appropriate boiler, an exchanger for efficient energy use, and a data logger for the temperature and humidity of the MAP drying. This activity will contribute to stabilizing the MAP sector, improving dried products, product consistency, sustainability, and increasing MAP exports.
The call for applications is open, and interested parties can apply to the project for support (first to apply, first served).
