From February 12 to 20, 2019, IADK held practical training on winter tree pruning in the municipalities of Mitrovica, Vushtrri, Drenas, Skenderaj, and Kamenica. More than 60 farmers engaged in tree cultivation participated in these trainings and expressed interest in gaining knowledge in tree pruning, which is one of the most important agrotechnical measures for achieving successful production, both in terms of quantity and quality of the fruits.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to gain practical knowledge about winter pruning for different types of trees. They were informed about the importance of pruning, which helps improve fruit quality, ensures maximum productivity, enables air circulation and better sunlight, has a strong effect in protecting trees from diseases and pests, as well as in revitalizing old trees and impacts flowering.
