The participation of
the community in decision-making is considered an essential characteristic of
democracy and especially local governance. To discuss the level
on women's participation in decision-making processes IADK in cooperation with
the municipalities involved in the project organized roundtables on the topic "Active participation of
women in decision-making at the local level."
Based on it
Data collected from meetings on the current state of women's participation in
decision-making at the local level, it has been assessed that women and the community are not
to be satisfactorily involved in decision-making processes due to the lack of self-initiative
and raising awareness among women/the community about the opportunity to participate in processes
decision-making public decisions carried out within the municipalities of Mitrovica,
Vushtrri, Shtime, and Lipjan.
IADK represented
by the Executive Director Mr. Bunjaku, the project staff, and the participants within
of the municipalities have agreed that the recommendations from these meetings should be addressed with

in positive transformative processes for societies, such as changes in
services, institutions, and social norms.

This activity is organized within the framework
of the project "Professional training and opportunities for income generation in
agriculture for women and youth living in rural areas of Kosovo"
