The Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, Mr. Bedri Hamza, Mayor of Mitrovica Municipality, Ms. Kristen StecCountry Director DRC and Mr. Besim Toska, owner of the company recycling Besim Toska B.I. signs a cooperation agreement in support for the project "Empowerment of the recycling value chain in South Mitrovica."
Through this project, the aim is to establish recyclable waste collection capacities and improvement of living conditions of the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian populations in South Mitrovica through the increase access, and the possibility of generating revenue within the chain of the value of waste recycling.
Mr. Hamza thanks IADK—through the work and continuous commitment that is offered to the municipality of Mitrovica and promised continuous support for implementation and the reconsideration of the possibility of co-financing the project based on the assessment of the municipality's budget planning.
Ms. Kristen Stec, representative of the DRC expresses admiration for the work done so far by IADK in implementing the projects of the DRC and promises even closer cooperation in the future on projects clouds.
Executive Director Mr. Zenel Bunjaku said, This Memorandum of Cooperation to assist in the successful implementation of the project for the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian in South Mitrovica and at the same time will impact the welfare of to this community, the development and creation of higher incomes.
The Executive Director thanked the chairman of Mitrovica, Mr. Bedri Hamza, about his visit to our building and informed the mayor with projects that have been implemented and projects that are currently underway.
