Call for applications for training and grants

The organization "Initiative for Development" of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK]), is implementing the project "Improving employment and opportunities for income generation in rural areas of Kosovo" a three-year project (2020-2022), supported by the donor "Bread for the World" from Germany.

One of the objectives of The project supports women in rural areas in skills development in the processing of fruits and vegetables, which will then have the opportunity to generate income from their work.

For the year 2021, the activity for professional training and grants will include the Municipalities of Viti and Kamenica by selecting 2 groups of 15 women who will attend the theoretical and practical training program in the fruit processing sector and vegetables , specifically in the profile "Preservative of fruits, vegetables, and similar" according to the program of the National Qualification Authority, which contain a total of 15 credits (300 teaching hours), of which 30% will be theoretical teaching and 70% practical learning.

[NT11]] in cooperation and co-financing with the Municipalities of Viti and Kamenica will invest in the training of groups women to increase their knowledge in processing fruits and vegetables, which will be awarded certificates for professional training. In addition to skills development, the project will include the following component of generating income for the most successful candidates among those who have completed the training and have been certified. Within the framework of this grant, two processing units with an investment of 12,000.00 € per unit. Therefore, Women/girls are invited to apply for continuing training in fruit processing and vegetables, where after completing the training and certification, they will apply for the processing unit.

APPLICATION CRITERIA AND SELECTION OF CANDIDATES:

· Women living in rural areas of the Municipality of Viti and Kamenica;

· Willingness to be part of the trainings;

· Unqualified and limited education;

· To be interested in starting a business or self-employment;

· To be aged 18-50 years;

· Women who are heads of households have priority to selection;
