Invitation for training and agricultural grants for women, men, and youth from the municipalities of Shtime and Vushtrri

The organization "Initiative for Development" of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK]), is implementing the project "Empowering Youth and women from rural areas through involvement in agriculture and food processing" three-year project (2021-2023]), supported by the Swiss donor CFD. The project will include municipalities: Vushtrri, Mitrovica, Shime and Lipjan, which are partners in the project.

The project aims the three main components of support, such as: Building and capacities through Education and Vocational Training, Support with grants for creating conditions for income generation and self-employment, and Promoting the inclusion of youth, women, and men from rural areas in agriculture.

Supporting Youth with trainings and grants: Within the framework of activities The project planned the formation of two groups of 15 participants each from the municipalities Shtime and Vushtrri, for which initially five trainings will be organized (5)-days for capacity building on topics for preparing the plan of business, farm management, and production techniques. After the completion of trainings, these young people will be invited to apply for the grant scheme with packages support in agricultural subsectors (livestock, beekeeping, vegetable growing, fruit growing, etc.) in the amount of €2,500.00.

Support for women and men with training and grants: Within the framework of activities the project plans the formation of two groups with 15 participants from the municipalities of Shtime and Vushtrri , for who will initially be given five (5)-day trainings to develop capacities in management topics business and record-keeping, human rights, decision-making, and advocacy and lobbying methods towards public institutions.

At upon completion of the trainings, women, men, and youth will be invited to apply to the grant scheme with support packages in the subsectors of agriculture (livestock, beekeeper, vegetable grower, orchard, etc.) in the amount of €2,500.

Therefore, Women, men, and young people are invited to apply for continuing the trainings and in the processing sector, who, after completing their training, will apply for the above-mentioned grant scheme.

Criteria that YOUNG PEOPLE must meet for training are:

a) To are up to 35 years old (but with a focus 18 – 24 years old);

b) To are from the rural areas of the Shtime municipality;

c) To are unemployed and active in agricultural activities;

d) To have resources to engage in agriculture (land, water, workforce);

e) To have the potential to expand agricultural capacities;

f) To They are interested in starting a business or becoming self-employed.

g) To not to have been a grant beneficiary in the last three years;

The criteria that WOMEN and MEN must meet for training are:

h) To are aged 35-54 years;

i) To are from the rural areas of the Shtima municipality;

j) To interested in conducting trainings;

k) To are unemployed and active in agricultural activities;

l) To have resources to engage in agriculture (land, water, workforce);

m) To have the potential to expand agricultural capacities;

n) Women heads of households will have priority in selection.

o) To not to have been a grant beneficiary in the last three years;

Applications must be submitted by on 08.02.2023 at 16:00 for the municipality of Shtime, while until the date 10.02.2023 at 16:00 for the municipality of Vushtrri.
