Invitation to apply for Training in the fruit and vegetable sector

The organization "Initiative for Development" of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK]), is implementing the project "Improving employment and opportunities for income generation in rural areas of Kosovo" a three-year project (2020-2022), supported by the donor "Bread for the World" from Germany. At the event for Training of existing farmers in the fruit and vegetable sector for the year In 2022, training of two (2) groups of farmers is planned in the municipalities of Vushtrri and Skenderaj.

One of the objectives of The project supports existing farmers who are not employed and those in poor economic condition, who are willing to expand activities in the field of agriculture, which have not been supported by previous grants.

IADK in cooperation and co-financing with the municipalities involved in the project, will invest in training for 30 farmers engaged in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables, who will follow 7 days of theoretical and practical training in the aforementioned sectors. After completion these farmers will be invited to apply for the grant scheme with their innovative ideas that impact income generation and self-employment. In total, 17 farmers will be supported with grants amounting to €3,000.00, co-financing with 10% of the total investment value.

Priority innovative ideas that impact poverty reduction, employment opportunities, environmental protection, expanding activities in the fruit sector, and vegetables and income generation. Therefore, farmers are invited to apply to attend the tree training and vegetables, who, after completing the training, can apply for the scheme of the above-mentioned grants.

CRITERIA WHAT FARMERS NEED TO BE PROVIDED FOR TRAINING ARE:

a) Candidates interested should come from the municipalities of: Vushtrri and Skenderaj;

b) Readiness to be part of the trainings;

c) They are engaged in the fruit and vegetable sector or have the potential to engage in this sector;

d) To are interested in applying to the grant scheme with innovative ideas for cultivation of fruits and vegetables;

e) To are interested in starting a business or becoming self-employed;

f) To they are unemployed.
