Call for applications for training and grants

The organization "Initiative for Development" of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK]), is implementing the project "Improving employment and opportunities for income generation in rural areas of Kosovo" a three-year project (2020-2022), supported by the donor "Bread for the World" from Germany. One of the objectives of the project is supporting women/girls in rural areas in enhancing professional skills in the processing sector, which will then have the opportunity to generate income from their work.

For the year 2022, the activity for professional training and grants, I will include the municipalities of Vushtrri and Skenderaj by selecting 2 groups with from 15 women/girls who will follow the theoretical training program and in the processing sector , specifically one of the programs: "Preservative for fruits, vegetables, and similar", the "Milkman" program or the program for preparing "Desserts." Programs accredited by The National Qualification Authoritycontains 15 credits (300 teaching hours), of which 30% will be theoretical teaching and 70% instructional practical. Depending on the number of interested parties, the selection of group training program, priority will be given to the programs of accredited by IADK.

[NT12]] in cooperation and co-financing with the municipalities of Vushtrri and Skenderaj will invest in group training of women to increase their knowledge in the processing sector, which will are issued certificates for professional training. In addition to skills development, the project will foresee the component of generating income for the most successful candidates from those who have graduated training and have been certified. Within the framework of this grant, two units will be established one-investment processing in a value of €12,000.00 per unit. Therefore, women/girls are invited to apply for the continuation of one of the training programs for fruit processing and vegetables, dairy processing, or the preparation of sweets where after upon completion of training and certification, will apply for the unit processing.

APPLICATION CRITERIA AND SELECTION OF CANDIDATES:

· Women living in rural areas of the Municipality of Vushtrri and Skenderaj;

· Willingness to be part of the trainings;

· Unqualified and limited education;

· To be interested in starting a business or self-employment;

· To be aged 18-50 years;

· Women who are heads of households have priority in selection;

· Priority will be given to accredited programs "Fruit Preservative, vegetables and similar" and the "Dairy" program;
