IADK has signed contracts with 10 beneficiary farmers from The Municipality of Suhareka for grant support in the fruit-growing sector, specifically grants for establishing strawberry orchards. Support package for each beneficiary contains strawberry seedlings, an irrigation system, and other accompanying inputs for the establishment of strawberry orchards with an area of 1500 m².
The contracts with the beneficiaries were signed by the Director Executive of IADK Mr. Zenel Bunjaku and Director of the Directorate for Agriculture Mr. Ardian Kotorri, who congratulated the farmers on these support grants in the small fruit sector, which aims to create conditions for self-employment and generating income from agricultural activities.
With the aim of timely preparation of the work in establishing orchards, IADK has also distributed the irrigation system and has completed two more Theoretical training with beneficiaries, to continue further with advice directly on the ground to each beneficiary, so that we achieve the best possible results to the beneficiaries.
This the activity was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income-generating opportunities in rural areas of Kosovo," funded by the donor BfdW from Germany and co-financed by the Municipality of Suhareka.
