Today, on 17.01.2024, the inauguration ceremony of the unit for preparing "Dea's Cakes" for the beneficiary Vlora Mexhuani from the Municipality of Podujevë was held. This support was achieved after the successful completion of professional training in the confectionery sector conducted by the organization IADK.
Dea's Cakes has been supported with a grant worth €9,000 with all the necessary professional equipment, through which it will be able to prepare high-quality, safe products with high production capacity.
Ms. Vlora Mexhuani expressed special thanks to the organization IADK and the Municipality of Podujeva for the support provided, and stated that she is now fulfilled having fulfilled the dream she has always had in opening her own business, where she will dedicate herself to the fullest for the growth and development of the business and for employing other women.
The Mayor of the Municipality, Mr. Bulliqi, and the Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Bunjaku, expressed their readiness during the ceremony to continue projects that particularly focus on women and girls, enabling their professional advancement in various sectors of food processing and professional training.
This activity was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income generation opportunities in rural areas of Kosovo," supported by the German donor "Brot für die Welt" in cooperation with the Municipality of Podujevë.
