IADK is continuing to finalize support through grants for young people, aiming at employment and generating income from activities in the agricultural sector.
On October 5 and 6, 2020, the irrigation system and other accompanying inputs were distributed to 24 greenhouse beneficiaries in the municipalities of Vushtrri, Skenderaj, Shtime, and Kamenica.
The construction of greenhouses with an area of 200m² is in its final phase, which will be cultivated with autumn vegetables such as lettuce, spinach, and green onions. Meanwhile, the young people will also be supplied with a motor cultivator-tiller, to facilitate soil cultivation and ensure its quality preparation for vegetable cultivation.
A few days ago, a beneficiary from Vushtrri, within the youth grants, was supplied with green saplings and accompanying inputs for establishing a strawberry orchard over an area of 1500m².
The activity was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income-generating opportunities in rural areas of Kosovo," supported by the donor BfdW from Germany.
