The organization "Initiative for the Development of Agriculture of Kosovo" ([NT3]]) is implementing the project "Professional training and income generation opportunities in agriculture for women and youth living in rural areas of Kosovo," with the project implementation period from January to December 2020, supported by the CFD donor from Switzerland.
The project will contribute to ensuring that women and young women living in rural areas are treated equally in terms of employment opportunities, income generation, and more specifically, in terms of exercising their rights.
[NT4]], in cooperation with the municipality of Vushtrri, will organize training sessions in the fruit and vegetable processing module for 12 women and young women, which will include 10 days of training on topics such as fruit and vegetable processing, economic aspects, and gender equality.
After completing the trainings, participants can apply for the grant to establish a unit for fruit and vegetable processing.
THE CRITERIA THAT MUST BE MET FOR TRAINING ARE:
a) They must be between 18 and 54 years old and come from villages outside the commune of Vushtrri;
b) Willingness to be part of the trainings;
c) Unemployed and in a severe economic situation;
d) To be interested in starting a business or becoming self-employed;
e) They must have raw materials;
f) To possess facilities for installing equipment for processing fruits and vegetables;
g) Priority will be given to young girls who wish to start a business in this sector.
