The organization "Initiative for the Development of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK]) is implementing the project "Improving Employment and Income Generation Opportunities in the Rural Areas of Kosovo," a three-year project (2020-2022]), supported by the donor "Bread for the World" from Germany.
For the year 2020, the activity for agricultural training and grant support for youth will be implemented in the municipalities of Vushtrri, Skenderaj, Shtime, and Kamenica.
One of the project's objectives is to support young people who are not employed and in poor economic conditions, and who are willing to be integrated into the field of agriculture.
[NT7]], in cooperation and co-financing with the municipalities involved in the project, will invest in agricultural training for 60 young people, who will attend 5 days of training on topics such as business plan preparation, farm management, and production techniques. After completing the training, these young people will be invited to apply to the grant scheme with their innovative ideas that impact income generation and self-employment. In total, 50 young people will be supported with grants worth €3,000.00 each, co-financing 10% of the total investment value.
Priority will be given to innovative ideas that lead to poverty reduction, employment opportunities among young people, environmental protection, as well as income generation.
Therefore, young people are invited to apply to continue agricultural training, who, after completing the trainings, will apply for the above-mentioned grant scheme.
THE CRITERIA THAT YOUNG PEOPLE MUST MEET FOR TRAINING ARE:
a) They must be aged 18-35 years (focusing on 18-24 years old) and come from the municipalities of: Vushtrri, Skenderaj, Shtime, and Kamenica
b) Willingness to be part of the trainings
c) They are engaged in or have potential to engage in agricultural activities
d) Have ideas and interest in applying to the grant scheme with innovative ideas for agriculture
e) To be interested in starting a business or becoming self-employed
