ANNOUNCEMENT

ON APPLICATION FOR GRANTS FOR "START-UP" AND "SELF-EMPLOYMENT"

Organization "The Initiative for the Development of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK) is implementing the project "Support in the employment of youth and women in rural areas through agricultural development" with nr. 2020/419 -480, a two-year project (2020-2022) of supported by the European Union Office in Kosovo. The project includes the municipalities of South Mitrovica and Shtime, which are also co-implementers in this project.

Within the framework of the activities of The project is planned to be completed after the completion of professional training training beneficiaries to be certified in the "Self-Employment" program, Trainees who are certified will have the right to apply for grants in this call.

During the first year of the project, planned to support a total of 28 beneficiaries from the municipalities: South Mitrovica and Shtime, 13 of which can benefit from a grant in the amount of €5,000 (start-up), while 15 applicants will be supported with grants in the amount of €3,000 (self-employment).

CRITERIA FOR GRANT SUPPORT, THE FOLLOWING ARE PROVIDED:

Beneficiaries from the municipalities: South Mitrovica and Shtime, who have attended professional trainings and have been certified with a certificate for "Self-Employment";
The proposed idea has an impact in generating income, expanding the farm, and employment;
A new innovative idea in the agriculture sector;
To have resources to engaged in agriculture (land, water, labor force);
To have the potential for expansion of agricultural capacities and are self-sustaining businesses;
The idea that promotes practices good for the environment;
To express readiness for co-financing for the proposed idea;
Candidates from remote areas rural have priority in selection;
To have readiness afterwards the selection as beneficiaries to register their business (applies only for the "start-up" beneficiaries).

Applicants from South Mitrovica must submit Applications/Business plans completed no later than the 17th June 2021 at 16:00.
