IADK successfully concludes support for four beneficiary women in the food processing sector – an important step towards economic empowerment and self-employment

IADK ka successfully completed the distribution of professional equipment for four women beneficiaries, helping them establish their own processing and take the first steps toward the development of sustainable businesses.
The main goal of the activity is to increase employability through self-employment and the creation of favorable conditions for generating revenues through grant support.

Two of Women relied on preserving fruits and vegetables, while two others in the preparation of desserts, resulting in the creation of four new processing units. The equipment has been selected according to their specific needs for starting or expanding the activity.

Before to benefit from the equipment, the women attended a five-day training with theory and practice, where only participants who successfully completed and fulfilled The required criteria were selected for support. They were equipped with knowledge about processing, food safety, and business management.

The beneficiaries from Vushtrri, Obiliq, Mitrovica, and Lipjan now have the opportunity to start their economic activities, increasing financial independence and contributed to local economic development. IADK remains committed to empowering of women in rural areas and in supporting new businesses that promote the social and economic development of communities.

This cooperation is part of the project "Empowering Rural Communities through Agricultural Development," funded by the Swedish Development Agency. and International Cooperation (SIDA) and represented by the Swedish Embassy in Kosovo. The project funds are managed by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), while its implementation will be carried out by the Agricultural Development Initiative of Kosovo (IADK]).
