Winter pruning regulates the ratio in mid-growth. vegetative and long-term production durability, in quantity and proper quality.
With the aim of raising knowledge about pruning winter and other important works in orchards, with special emphasis on winter spraying to protect plants from harmful biological agents. IADK organized practical training on tree pruning, where the discussion then took place for winter spraying as a subsequent process.
Orchard farmers from the municipalities of Drenas, Skenderaj, Podujevo and Istog, where a total of 55 participants took part, who are engaged in this activity. The demonstration of pruning has been carried out in crops such as: apples, plum and pear.
Participants had the opportunity to see how it is carried out winter pruning, they discuss and ask about the problems and difficulties that They are encountered during pruning.
They parted satisfied with the knowledge they gained around the forms of pruning, the timing, and its importance as one of the main measures pomotechnic, while also considering the importance, timing, preparations, and care that It should be applied during winter spraying.
