Within the framework of the project "Empowering women, men, and youth living in rural areas facing economic challenges to create sustainable livelihoods through agricultural activities and food processing," supported by the Swiss donor FRIEDA, a panel discussion was held on the topic "Challenges of lobbying for women's property rights and its impact on economic development."
Participants in this meeting were: Mr. Zenel Bunjaku - Executive Director of IADK, and the panelists were: Ms. Leonora Selmani – Agency for Gender Equality / Office of the Prime Minister, Ms. Valbona Salihu – Executive Director / Norma Lawyers Association, Ms. Emine Kelmendi – Head of the Unit for Human Rights and Protection against Discrimination / MBPZHR, and Ms. Saxhide Mustafa – Leader of the Women's Economic Forum, then present were representatives from the Municipalities of Mitrovica and Shtime, representatives of various NGOs, project beneficiaries, and the GIGVA group.
During the discussion, issues related to women's property rights, improvements in labor law, challenges for youth in agriculture, addressing legal centers, women's cooperation in groups, and many fruitful discussions on the given topic were examined.
