Addressing climate change and digitalization in agriculture – a necessity for the future of our farmers

Climate change is now a reality and its impact is being felt more and more every year in our agriculture, from the quantity of production to the quality of products. Climate change and digitalization are often discussed, but in addition to raising awareness, it is also vital to take supporting measures.
For this reason, IADK organized four Roundtables during November-December 2025 (two for addressing climate change and two for digitalization of agriculture), with a total of 88 participants, bringing together government and municipal institutions, experts, farmers and other important stakeholders in the agricultural sector. The tables aimed to:
Presenting the findings of the feasibility study conducted by domestic and foreign experts in the field of digitalization and climate change.
Presentation of practical models and interventions that IADK has implemented to help farmers adapt to climate challenges and digitalization in agriculture.
These meetings became a valuable space for exchanging experiences, identifying needs and presenting models that are already yielding visible results on farms.
IADK remains committed to continuing to address climate change issues as a priority and to support farmers in the modernization and automation of their agricultural activities.
This activity was carried out within the framework of the project “Improving the employment and income generation opportunities in rural areas in Kosovo" funded by the German donor BfdW.
