The meeting was moderated by IADK Executive Director, Zenel Bunjaku, who thanked the panelists and participants for their extraordinary contribution to this essential discussion for the future of our communities.
The panel brought together experts in the field, including: Odeta Naks – Advocacy Training and Resource Center, Lavdi Zymberi – Kosovo Center for Gender Studies, Qendrim Gashi – Free Legal Aid Agency, Gzim Shala – Legal Aid Center – IKL and Edon Uka – Legal Expert
The discussion was also attended by Antigona Dajakaj Fejza, FRIEDA Project Coordinator, women and girls participating in the FRIEDA project, municipal officials, NGO representatives and the project implementation team from IADK.
Among other things, the panel highlighted:
The challenges women face in realizing their property rights, the importance of gender equality legislation, the impact of patriarchal norms on access to property, inheritance issues and opportunities for change.
The active participation of women and girls in decision-making is essential for economic development, social justice and sustainable communities.
This panel reaffirmed the need for empowerment, awareness-raising and equal implementation of laws – as concrete steps towards a more just and inclusive society.
This activity was organized within the framework of the project “Empowering women, men and youth living in economically challenging rural areas, to establish sustainable livelihoods through agricultural and food processing activities”, funded by the Swiss donor FRIEDA.
