IADK held a “Field Day” to promote models that help farmers reduce the harmful impact of climate change on agricultural crops.

This event was organized in the raspberry orchards of several farmers in the village of Lupç i Epërm in the municipality of Podujeva, where IADK provided some symbolic support by installing a simple system of shading raspberries through light metal frames and green netting.
Participants in this field day had the opportunity to see up close the effect of shading raspberries in protecting raspberry fruits from strong solar radiation, but also in the much better development and vitality of plants, compared to raspberries cultivated without a shading system.
Small investments in various models for addressing climate change in agricultural crops have been made by IADK, with the aim of serving as examples for farmers to take similar actions in protecting agricultural crops from climate change.
This activity was carried out within the framework of the project “Improving the employment and income generation opportunities in rural areas in Kosovo” funded by the German donor BfdW.
