On March 13, 2025, IADK signed a cooperation agreement with the company Visar Vokrri B.I. from the village of Sveqel, Podujevë, to strengthen the agricultural sector and promote economic growth. This partnership aims for seasonal employment opportunities, professional training, and support for local suppliers, positively impacting Kosovo's rural communities.
During this year, IADK will strengthen the partnership with the company, which is focused on improving vegetable production technologies in greenhouses and open fields and promoting local products. This collaboration also aims to provide opportunities for the integration of Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities into the labor market. The initiative will contribute to increasing incomes for local farmers and the sustainable development of the agricultural economy, creating better opportunities for social and economic inclusion.
This cooperation was carried out within the framework of the project "Empowering Rural Communities through Agricultural Development," funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and represented by the Swedish Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo. The project funds are managed by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), while its implementation will be carried out by the Kosovo Agriculture Development Initiative (IADK).
