The production of agricultural crops in desired quantity and quality requires the rational use of necessary fertilizers. Therefore, within the framework of the Technical Support for Agriculture in Kosovo activity, the IWRM-K program, through partners IADK and EPI Centar, has provided practical training to 50 beneficiaries of the second grant cycle on the topic of rational use of fertilizers in apples (17 beneficiaries) and raspberries (33 beneficiaries).
This training helps farmers increase their knowledge and skills regarding the efficient and appropriate use of fertilizers according to recommendations, the utilization of fertilizer – venturi supported by the program, and at the same time aims to reduce usage rates and unnecessary expenses. Additionally, the training enables farmers to reduce pollution of rivers and water flows as a result of uncontrolled use of fertilizers.
