The official opening of the confectionery production unit "Arona Cake" was held by the beneficiary who continued training in dessert preparation, Mrs. Bukurie Berisha, in the village of Skifteraj, Viti municipality, which will serve the economic development of the family and society in the Viti municipality as well as the empowerment of women socially.
A certification ceremony was also held for the groups participating in the professional trainings in the module of traditional food processing, dessert preparation, fruit and vegetable processing, as well as milk processing, where 66 participants were certified.
Present at these ceremonies were the Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, the Mayor of Viti Municipality, Mr. Sokol Haliti, Ms. Fjolla Raifi and Ms. Anita Smailovic, representatives of UNDP, the women participants in the trainings, as well as family members of the beneficiary.
These activities were made possible within the framework of the project "Supporting Women and Girls towards Economic Empowerment through Self-Employment and Professional Capacity Building," a project that is part of the Regional Program for Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD), funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), co-financed by the municipality of Vitis, and implemented by IADK.
