[NT10]] organized the first conference in the medicinal and aromatic plants sector for the year 2020. The theme addressed at this conference was "Experiences and challenges in the primary production of medicinal and aromatic plants."
The topic was presented by Mr. Florenc Kurtolli, a well-known regional expert in the MAP sector, supported by the conference panel: director of IADK Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, director of the department for agricultural policies and markets from MBPZHR Mr. Isuf Cikaqi, director of AlbInspekt Ms. Irjana Gjana, and director of Agroproduct Mr. Halit Avdijaj.
This conference was attended by 50 participants, including donors from GIZ, MBPZHR, AUV, USAID/AGRO, professors from the Faculty of Agriculture, Caritas, directors from municipalities, associations engaged in the MAP sector, exporters, collectors, and beneficiaries/farmers. Among other things, they had the opportunity to learn more extensively about the challenges in the primary production of medicinal and aromatic plants, as well as about the project results.
The conference proved to be productive; at its conclusion, recommendations and conclusions were made, which will be addressed by the competent authorities with optimism and continuous work towards mitigating and potentially eliminating challenges in the primary production of medicinal and aromatic plants.
At the end, the director of the organization IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, thanked those present for their participation, discussions, and contributions to this event.
