The Kosovo Agriculture Development Initiative (IADK) is a non-governmental organization committed to creating a more developed socio-economic environment in rural areas by supporting agricultural activities, reintegrating returnees, alleviating poverty, reducing imports, promoting good agricultural practices, and reducing unemployment by including all social groups regardless of religion, ethnicity, or gender

[NT6]] is implementing the project "Empowering women, men, and youth living in rural areas facing economic challenges to create sustainable livelihoods through agricultural activities and food processing," funded by donor Frieda – the Feminist Peace Organization, where the overall objective of the project will focus on the following issues:

• Building the professional capacities of women/men and youth
• Empowering women/men and youth towards income generation
• Integrating women/men and youth into socio-economic activities by creating connections with relevant actors from both the public and private sectors

Job title: Project Manager

Workplace: Lower Sfaraçak no. 11, 42,000 Vushtrri

Duration: 31.12.2024 with the possibility of extension until December 2026.

Working hours: Full

Tentative start date of work: July, 2024

Job description:

The Project Manager in this project engagement will have overall responsibility for the successful implementation of the above-mentioned project in coordination with the Executive Director of IADK. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Duties and responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates the overall implementation of the project.
• Supervises and coordinates work with the project staff; project officer, engaged experts
• Manages and coordinates communication with donors, partners, and the communities where the project is implemented.
• To ensure that the visibility of the project complies with the rules of IADK and to be responsible for communicating with the media and stakeholders.
• Actively participates in monitoring all project activities.
• Preparation and finalization of all project reports for IADK and donors on a regular basis.
• Preparation of project materials for publication, leaflets/brochures.
• Coordinates and participates in regular meetings, both internally with IADK employees and externally with interested parties and the respective beneficiaries.
• It identifies needs and shortcomings and is able to adapt or propose new activities to achieve the main goal of the project.
• Identification of potential experts who will be engaged in the project.

Key qualifications and competencies:

1. A completed university degree, at least at the bachelor's level (social sciences preferred), or a related field.
2. Over 2 years of work experience, preferably in women's empowerment, managing donor-funded projects.
3. Experience in communication with the media and the public.
4. Experience in quality reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
5. Ability to lead a team and activities within the project.
6. Willingness to assess and take initiatives related to complex project situations.
7. Negotiation and persuasive skills to represent the project's interests.
8. Research, analysis, and drafting skills for various documents.
9. Ability to work independently, strong organizational skills, and self-motivation.
10. Ability to work in a multiethnic environment.
11. The ability to withstand time pressure.
12. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
13. Good verbal and written communication skills in Albanian and English; knowledge of the Serbian language is an asset.
14. Must have a driver's license (B) and relevant driving experience in rural areas
15. Ready to move according to project needs
16. Analyze developments in context and target groups and be able to explain to various stakeholders (including strangers)
17. To keep in mind and understand the concept of (non)gender equality and its consequences for the target population of the project
18. Keep in mind the current gender discourse in Kosovo as well as international cooperation, and be able to translate it into measures in work with target groups
19. Proven experience working with disadvantaged population groups and sensitivity to their perspective.
20. Age up to 45 years old
