Participants in this meeting included representatives from the public sector in the fields of justice, health, and education, representatives of civil society, as well as citizens of the Municipality of Vushtrri. The panelists were: Ms. Melihate Latifi - Chairwoman of the Municipal Assembly, Mr. Islam Qerimi - Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mitrovica, Ms. Luljeta Halili - Police Officer at the Police Station of the Municipality of Vushtrri, Ms. Vildane Mulaku – association "Martyrs of Freedom", Remzije Zekolli – Coordinator of the Human Rights Unit and Gender Equality Officer. The group of panelists encouraged important discussion topics by providing a rich overview of their experiences and expertise.
Special focus has been given to the need to empower women and to address the challenges they face.
Recommendations have been proposed to improve the situation and to ensure continuous support for women's empowerment, respect for human rights, equal treatment in society, as well as the protection of children's rights.
This important event provides a fruitful example of cooperation and commitment to human rights and gender equality issues at the local level.
