Today, on the date 23.06.2021, contracts have been signed on 35 owners of mountain huts who have been selected from the municipality of Istog for support with solar systems. The beneficiaries will are supported by solar systems, of which 14 are high-capacity such as and 21 of small capacity.
During contract signing by the executive director of IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, as well as by the Director of The Directorate for Economy and Development, Mr. Lulzim Blakaj, and the owners of the sheepfolds in the municipality of Istog, beneficiaries have been motivated to continuously dedicate themselves to preserving tradition and engage as much as possible in services tourism (accommodation, preparation, and preservation of traditional foods) and meeting the demands of both domestic and foreign tourists, because it is a a sector with potential that continues to grow further.
Director of IADK Zenel Bunjaku during the ceremony, I added that Istog is a leader in several fields by ranging from the cultivation of medicinal plants and fruits to mountain tourism where It is the field with the most prospects.

The activity was organized within the framework of the project "Transhumance - a new tourist offer of Kosovo and Montenegro," which is funded by the Union European through the IPA II cross-border cooperation program between Kosovo and Montenegro and aims to improve the volume, quality, and visibility of tourism in relation to the appreciation of heritage and cultural values, and as well as the inclusion of the Transhumance in the tourism offer of Kosovo and Montenegro.
