May 30, 2025 – A Day to Remember, Reflect On, and Give Thanks
With great pride, emotion, and humility, the Initiative for the Development of Agriculture in Kosovo (IADK) marked its 20th anniversary – an extraordinary journey full of dedication to empowering farmers, rural development, and building sustainable agriculture in Kosovo.
The event was held in a warm and meaningful atmosphere, where we celebrated together with representatives of local institutions, international partners, loyal donors, beneficiary farmers, agronomists, staff of IADK, and many collaborators who have been part of this journey full of challenges and successes.
The ceremony was opened by the founder and executive director of IADK, Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, with a deep and emotional speech, sharing memories from the organization's beginnings, facing challenges, and achievements built with passion, sacrifice, and love for agriculture.
With deep gratitude, he thanked: the Donors, for their trust and unwavering support, the Partners for the sustainable cooperation, Public Institutions, for the cooperation and co-financing, the Farmers and beneficiaries who have inspired us every day, the staff of IADK, for their dedication to every project
Welcoming speeches were also given by:
– Mr. Shyqyri Hyseni, Chairman of the Board of IADK
– Ms. Hava Mlinaku, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Vushtrri
– Mr. Mustafë Kastrati, representative from GIZ
– Ms. Antigona Dajakaj, representative of FRIEDA
– Mr. Valon Vitia, representative from the DRC
All emphasized the concrete role and impact of IADK in the development of agriculture, sustainable food production, and the promotion of agrotourism in the rural areas of Kosovo.
At the end of the event, symbolic acknowledgments were given to donors, staff, collaborators, and former female beneficiaries – as a heartfelt sign of gratitude to all those who have contributed to this journey with heart and vision
The event concluded with music, beautiful memories, and a friendly lunch, where all attendees had the opportunity to share stories, experiences, and sincere hugs.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been and continues to be part of the IADK!
Together we have built a lot – and the future invites us to dream and work even harder for better, fairer, and more sustainable agriculture.
