CALL FOR TRAINING AND GRANTS IN AGRICULTURE

COMPROMISE VUSHTRRI

The organization "Initiative for Development" of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK]), is implementing the project "Empowering Youth and women from rural areas through involvement in agriculture and food processing" three-year project (2021-2023]), supported by the Swiss donor CFD. The project will include municipalities: Vushtrri, Mitrovica, Shime and Lipjan, which are partners in the project.

The project aims the three main components of support, such as: Building and capacities through Education and Vocational Training, Support with grants for creating conditions for income generation and self-employment, and Promoting the inclusion of youth, women, and men from rural areas in agriculture.

Support for women and men with training and grants: Within the framework of activities the project for the Municipality of Vushtrri, the formation of a group of 15 participants, for whom initially five-day trainings will be organized for capacity building on topics related to business management and record-keeping, human rights, decision-making, and advocacy and lobbying methods towards public institutions.

At upon completion of the training, women and men will be invited to apply to the scheme grants with support packages in the agricultural subsectors (livestock, beekeeping, vegetable grower, orchard, etc.) in the amount starting from €2,500.

Therefore, Women and men are invited to apply to continue agricultural training and in the processing sector, who, after completing the trainings, will apply for the grant scheme Above.

The criteria that WOMEN and MEN must meet for training are:

a) To are over 35 years old;

b) To are from the rural areas of the Vushtrri municipality;

c) To interested in conducting trainings;

d) To are unemployed and active in agricultural activities;

e) To have resources to engage in agriculture (land, water, workforce);

f) To have the potential to expand agricultural capacities;

Women who are heads of households will have priority in selection.

The application must be submitted to the offices of IADK or the agricultural offices in the respective municipality, as well as in the above-mentioned email.
