Business-to-Business (B2B) Meeting to Improve Cooperation in the Livestock Sector

As part of efforts to develop the livestock sector and strengthen cooperation among key actors, IADK organized a Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting, attended by farmers/beneficiaries from the livestock sector, representatives of dairy farmers, milk collection points, as well as experts from the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary, directors, and officials from the Agriculture directorates of partner municipalities (Skenderaj and Drenas). 👩🌾🏭🚚
The meeting focused on discussing and finding opportunities to improve cooperation between businesses, suppliers, and farmers, as well as addressing the challenges faced by milk-producing farmers. During the discussions, the need to improve working conditions for farmers in the region was emphasized, as well as to adopt best farm management practices such as feeding and ration optimization for cows, improving feed quality, breed enhancement, barn standards, and hygiene, with the aim of increasing milk production and quality, as well as optimizing collection and distribution processes. 🐄🥛🚜🌾
Among other things, the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and creating opportunities for the exchange of experiences and knowledge among stakeholders was emphasized, thereby helping the sustainable development of the livestock sector and increasing the efficiency of the supply chain. 🤝👩🌾
This activity was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income-generating opportunities in rural areas of Kosovo," funded by the donor BfdW from Germany.
