In order to create conditions for generating income from agricultural activities, IADK supported 20 farmers in establishing greenhouses with an area of 176 m² each, accompanied by other accompanying inputs and vegetable seedlings.
Despite difficult climatic conditions with frequent rainfall, the construction of the greenhouses has been completed, enabling their use during the main vegetable growing season.
The beneficiaries of the greenhouses are 10 farmers from the municipality of Mitrovica and 10 from the municipality of Podujeva, for whom training and direct advice from IADK experts will also be offered throughout the entire vegetation period, as well as study visits aimed at achieving the highest and most quality productivity from this activity.
The greenhouse construction was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income generation opportunities in rural areas of Kosovo," funded by the donor Bread for the Word from Germany and co-financed by partner municipalities.
