On May 10, 2024, vegetable seedlings were distributed to 17 farmers who received grants for building greenhouses for vegetable cultivation. The built greenhouses cover an area of 176 m² and are also accompanied by other accompanying inputs and vegetable seedlings. The beneficiaries of the greenhouses are farmers from the municipalities of Vushtrri, Skenderaj, and Drenas, who will also receive training and direct advice from IADK experts throughout the entire vegetation period, as well as study visits aimed at exchanging experiences with more advanced farmers in Kosovo.
This support will contribute to generating farmers' incomes and improving the economic situation of their families in the rural areas where they live.
The greenhouse construction was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income generation opportunities in rural areas of Kosovo," funded by the donor Bread for the World (BftW) from Germany and co-financed by partner municipalities.
