Business to Business (B2B) Meeting for Improving Cooperation in the Livestock Sector
In the framework of efforts to develop the livestock sector and strengthen cooperation between key actors, IADK organized a Business to Business (B2B) meeting, where farmers/beneficiaries of the livestock sector, representatives of dairies, milk collection points, as well as experts from the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, the directors and officials of the Directorates for Agriculture from the partner municipalities (Skenderajt and Drenas). 👩🌾🏭🚚
The meeting focused on discussing and finding opportunities for improving cooperation between businesses, suppliers and farmers, as well as addressing challenges faced by dairy farmers. During the discussions, the need for improving the working conditions for farmers in the region was emphasized, as well as for the adoption of the best farm management practices such as: feeding and optimizing the ration of cows, improving the quality of food, breed improvement, standards of stables and hygiene), in order to increase the production and quality of milk, as well as to optimize the collection and distribution processes. 🐄🥛🚜🌾
Among other things, it was emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and creating opportunities for the exchange of experiences and knowledge between interested parties, thus helping in the sustainable development of the livestock sector and increasing the efficiency of the supply chain. 🤝👩🌾
This activity was carried out within the project Improving the employment and income generation opportunities in rural areas in Kosovofinanced by the donor BfdW from Germany.
