Challenges in Advocating for Women’s Property Rights and Their Impact on Economic Development”

In the framework of the project “Empowering women, men and youth living in economically challenging rural areas, to establish sustainable livelihoods through agricultural and food processing activities”, supported by the donor Zvicran FRIEDA, a panel discussion was held on the topic "Challenges for lobbying in women's property rights and the impact on economic development"💡.


Participants in this meeting were: Mr. Zenel Bunjaku - Executive Director of IADK, as panelists of the meeting were: Mrs. Leonora Selmani – Agency for Gender Equality/Office of the Prime Minister, Mrs. Valbona Salihu – Executive Director / Association of Norma Lawyers, mrs. Emine Kelmendi – Head of the Unit for Human Rights and Protection from Discrimination/ MAFRD and Mrs. Saxhide Mustafa - Leader of the Women's Economic Forum, then present were representatives from the Municipality of Mitrovica and Shtime 🏛️, representatives of various NGOs, beneficiaries of the project and the GIGVA group.


During the discussion, issues related to women's property rights, improvement of labor law, challenges for young people in agriculture, addressing legal centers, women's cooperation in groups and many fruitful discussions on the given topic were examined.
