The Initiative for Agricultural Development of Kosovo (IADK) is a non-governmental organization committed to creating a more developed socio-economic environment in rural areas by supporting agricultural activities, the re-integration of returnees, alleviating poverty, reducing imports, promotion of good agricultural practices, reduction of unemployment including all social groups regardless of religion, ethnicity or gender.
IADK is implementing the project “Empowering women, men and youth living in economically challenging rural areas, to establish sustainable livelihoods through agricultural and food processing activities", financed by donor Frieda – the Feminist Peace Organisation, where the overall objective of the project will focus on the following issues:
- The enhancement of professional capacities of women/men and youth
- Strengthening women/men and youth towards income generation.
- Integrating women/men and youth into socio-economic activities through establishing connections with relevant actors from the public and private sectors

Job Description:
The Project Manager will have the overall responsibility for the successful implementation of the mentioned project in coordination with the Executive Director of IADK. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manages and coordinates the overall implementation of the project, including the project staff and experts.
• Identifies deficiencies and proposes appropriate interventions to achieve the project objectives.
• Actively coordinates communications with donors, partners, and other project stakeholders.
• Regularly conducts monitoring visits to project beneficiaries, uses monitoring data for reporting to donors and other interested parties.
• Participates in meetings within IADK and its staff, contributing to addressing issues to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications and Key Competencies:
- University degree completed bachelor's level (preferably social sciences), or a related field
- Two years of work experience (preferably in women's empowerment) with experience in implementing donor-funded projects.
- Knowledge in using the Microsoft Office package.
- Good communication and writing skills in Albanian and English, while knowledge of the Serbian language is recommended.
- Possession of a category B driving license and experience in driving vehicles in rural areas.
- Knowledge of the economic status and needs of women/women's groups living in rural areas, experience in addressing women's needs to include them in economic-agricultural activities.
- Willingness to relocate as needed by the project.
- Consider and understand the concept of (lack of) gender equality and the consequences for the target population of the project
- Be aware of the current gender discourse in Kosovo as well as in international cooperation and being able to translate that into actions in working with target groups.
- Age up to 45 years
