STUDY VISITS FOR EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCES WITH BENEFICIARIES FROM THE FRUIT SECTOR
Within the framework of the project "Strengthening the value chain through skills development programme" financed by GIZ, IADK has organized 4 study visits for the beneficiaries of the project in the tree sector, specifically in the walnut and raspberry sector in order to further advance knowledge about small tree cultivation techniques.
In the walnut sector, a visit was organized to the municipality of Kamenica where the farmer Mirushe Geca was visited, while the farmer Gentiana Gashi was visited in the municipality of Suhareka.
A total of 20 farmers have participated in these visits.
17 beneficiaries participated in the raspberry sector. In the municipality of Podujeva, farmer Feim Ibishi was visited, while in the municipality of Pristina, farmer Milot Bislimi.
During these visits, the experiences of the farmers were exchanged among themselves, and the beneficiaries had the opportunity to learn more about the experience and knowledge of these hospitable and successful farmers, who explained in detail all the work required during the cultivation of walnuts and raspberries, for the challenges that can be presented in the management of diseases and pests, for the importance of correctly determining the hybrids to be used for cultivation depending on market requirements and their resistance to diseases and transport.
