SUPPORTING 120 FARMERS WITH DIRECT ADVICE AND EQUIPMENT IN THE VEGETABLE AND FRUIT SECTOR
IADK within the project "Strengthening the value chain through skills development programme" financed by GIZ has provided direct advice and support with equipment for the farmers of the vegetable and orchard sector.
120 farmers have received 5 direct advices from IADK experts on the topics of soil preparation, irrigation, plant nutrition, plant protection measures, harvesting/storage and best practices for plant pruning (winter and summer pruning). These tips are aimed at the best possible integration into the value chain, income generation, self-sustainability and enabling farmers to independently manage their agricultural affairs.
Beneficiaries, in addition to direct support with advice/training, were also supported with equipment that is more necessary for daily work, such as "sprayer with battery and fan" and "scissors for pruning trees (short and long)".
